Position Summary:
Accountable for delivering thought leadership, strategic direction, and consulting, standards, and technology guidance to both IT service providers and business lines, with the ultimate goal in achieving business objectives. Leads and participates in the development of architecture strategies, frameworks and architecture governance processes. Establishes long term software and data architecture direction to ensure sound investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the development and communication of architecture vision, migration options and impacts. Directs the alignment of software and technology & data architectures, standards, and best practices across all Technology departments in the District.
- Sets measurable objectives for subordinates, and develops and monitors progress on function goals and objectives to identify when revisions are required. Provides leadership, counseling, coaching, and mentoring to subordinates; makes decisions on personnel actions and administers disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Leads or participates in projects supporting department, Bank or Federal Reserve System initiatives/workgroups.
- Provides functional expertise and leadership to project teams while ensuring the interests of the department, district or system are served.
- Participates in strategic planning sessions, proposing short & long term plans in discussion with the IT leadership team.
- Develops trust-based relationships with clients and maintains effective communication and coordination between the department, other Bank departments, branches, other Reserve Banks, vendors, and/or other external customers.
- Develops and monitors the unit/department's operating and capital budgets. Recommends actions or expenditures to meet operational requirements and business directives.
- Plans and coordinates guidelines and reference architectures associated with software development lifecycles. Acts as a resource for software developers on policies, procedures and technical issues.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
Eight or more years.
