Position Summary:
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) reports to the Vice President (VP) of Finance and serves as a key resource to decision-makers in the organization. The leader in this role is responsible for providing relevant financial insights, analysis, and reporting, along with expert leadership over performance reporting and the budgeting and financial forecasting processes. This individual will lead the FP&A team to successfully deliver on these areas of responsibility and will continue to evolve and improve the support of the organization. The Director provides analysis and recommendations to the VP, Finance and the Chief Finance and Administrative Officer (CFAO) and other key internal and external business stakeholders.

Your contribution to the team includes:
- Assist the VP of Finance and partners with the Director of Accounting in developing the financial and strategic planning and administration for HealthPoint including implementation of the financial plans, policies, and systems.
- Responsible for the oversight, development, and direction of the FP&A team; including optimizing insights and reporting to organizational stakeholders.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of HealthPoint's annual financial budget in partnership with business owners and in alignment with the strategic plan.
- Establish monthly review process with financial staff and business leaders to understand business variances, including business trends and issues to inform the forecasting process.
- Proactively analyze results, communicates key insights and analysis to stakeholders, and respond to financial questions and requests.
- Prepare meaningful presentations and supplemental support for executive leaders, as well as work closely with business and data services leadership to evolve financial performance reporting.
- Partner with the Director of Accounting to provide full support of other reporting matters (e.g., Federal and state regulatory requirements such as cost reports and the Uniform Data System (UDS) submission).
- Provide the business with financial decision support in the form of strong and reliable financial analysis and reporting to support decision making (e.g., ROI, cost comparisons, clinical financial proformas, etc.).
- Lead the process for the annual budget and monthly forecasts, including the collaboration of organizational target setting and variance (close budget gap) plans.
- Supervises all grants administration functions and reports to assure continued funding to the organization and all compliance requirements, both state and Federal, are met. Collaborates with Director of Accounting to ensure proper accounting and grants reconciliations.
- Lead centralized procurement activities, including contract negotiations, Request for Proposals (RFPs) and oversees purchasing staff, as it relates to the Finance department.
- Lead and conduct Financial Planning and Analysis operations using HealthPoint's LEAN Management System methodologies to drive continuous improvement through a structured process to identify and eliminate waste, determine process improvements, and implement and measure impact of changes.
- Manage and supervise the activities of the financial planning and analysis department staff to ensure their work meets goals and performance objectives. Such duties include hiring, training, supervising, performance management, employee relations, recognition and talent management of financial planning and analysis staff.
- Maintain good attendance, is punctual, and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.

- Responsible for hiring, performance management, talent development, employee relations, recognition, and training of staff by providing effective leadership. Ensure all work is completed in support and enhancement of the objectives and goals of the organization.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to streamline and enhance office operations using the HealthPoint Lean Management System (HLMS) tools and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Must have's you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance or Business Administration from a four-year college or university; five (5) to eight (8) years related experience and at least two (2) years of which should be in a non-profit organization and healthcare environment; and at least five (5) years' experience managing a financial function; at least five (5) years of staff supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common industry related journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write reports and business correspondence and effectively present information to top management, clients, external groups and/or boards of directors.
- Work situations are broadly defined, complex and diverse, occasionally unprecedented. Problems have many dimensions and range from innovative thinking in one area to related fields of specialization. Consequences normally evaluated use more formal analytical, planning or process methods and strategies developed for action.
- Advanced ability to operate computers and related software for Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Budgeting/Financial software. Experience with PowerPlan software desired.
Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required, prior to start. HealthPoint does not accept the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as proof of vaccination. Additionally, if you work in a HealthPoint clinic, Tdap (within last 10 years) is required. Hepatitis B is required for clinical employees with potential exposure to blood/blood products. All immunizations are a condition of employment. Upon hire, employees must provide proof of their immunizations and/or immune titer results prior to starting or no later than their fifth (5) business day of employment.
