About the role:
This position is responsible for the development of new and existing business for all lines of business within the Cyber & Professional Lines Group. Primary duties include identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with prospects and existing clients, collaborating with VP, Business Development and/or executives on business strategy to determine objectives, evaluating current business performance, and maximizing reach and potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage broker/agent relationships, meet key performance indicators, and develop new business by marketing within assigned territory.
- Foster additional business opportunities through business travel, virtual meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities and remain current on all company products.
- Help build long-term relationships between TMHCC underwriters and broker partners through virtual and in-person meetings and introductions.
- Conduct broker and agent training using webinars and other web conferencing utilities.
- Track, report, and maintain a database of current and prospective contacts, marketing campaigns, opportunities, and outreach activities in Salesforce or other CRM tools.
- Work with the marketing team to develop, adapt, and implement specific marketing strategies and materials for new, warm, or cold prospects. Create campaigns based on market research/intel.
- Ensure sound working relationships with clients and other company departments by acting as the point of contact.
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- 4-year bachelor's degree preferred.
- 10 years of relevant and progressive insurance industry business development experience. Wholesale and/or retail existing book of business preferred.
