IMA's Certificate Compliance (IMACC) team is seeking a Managing Director to join our group! This role will lead the IMACC team as an active liaison between agent and IMA, Inc. clients, communicate with the Market President regarding department strategies, needs, and performance, and evaluate performance of team members while developing talent and establishing career progression. This role is eligible to be located out of any IMA market!
A successful applicant must have the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships, possess a strong business acumen, be technology savvy, and have excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Audit certificates of insurance and endorsements for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to our client's contract requirements.
- Provide detailed and accurate reviews and answer client inquiries about compliance matters.
- Follow up with insurance agents to verify policy coverage and cancellations.
- Perform client account review and interact professionally and timely with clients.
- Actively participate in the interviewing, hiring, training, and development of talent for direct reports and additional department hires.
- Provide leadership and manage the service associates within the given teams including the oversight of the responsibilities of the specific role of the associate.
- Direct the service teams' work assignments and manage the work of the unit team and assigned associates to provide clear communication of expectations, established time frames, regular progress updates, and annual performance evaluations.
- Facilitate unit team meetings, communicating division information.
- Serve as mentor and coach for account executives as needed.
- Perform functions of the role within an IMA office 0-50% of the time.
- Support and demonstrate IMA's core values.
- Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates.
Required skills and experiences:
- 5+ years' experience in Commercial Insurance and understanding of General Liability, Umbrella, Worker's Compensation, and other business policies strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products required (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong level of comfort with learning and utilizing computer software programs (i.e., MYCOI and TrustLayer) required.
- Moderate travel required.
