Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Clinical RN Manager for our team in Massachusetts.
This is an in office position with a partial commute of 5 days per week into the FreedomCare hub office located in Boston, MA.
Department & Position Overview:
We are looking for a Clinical (RN) Manager to oversee clinical operations in Massachusetts, who has an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit as well as a passion for continually improving the way we do things. The Clinical RN Manager will be a vital part of administrating and ensuring the efficient delivery of services, oversight of the clinical staff and compliance with regulatory requirements. We are seeking an individual with a nursing background with elders or adults with disabilities, as well as experience managing a clinical staff. This person will work hand in hand with the Program Director to develop and implement policies and procedures required as an AFC provider, provide direction and supervision of all aspects of the AFC program, and assist in oversight of the hiring and supervision of all AFC employees.
Adult Foster Care is a caregiving arrangement in which a patient lives with a principal caregiver who provides daily support based on the patient's daily care needs. The goal of this service is to provide necessary care while fostering and emphasizing the patient’s independence in a home environment that will provide them with a range of care options as their needs evolve. The service is designed to provide options for alternative long-term care to persons who meet nursing facility-level care needs while preserving the dignity, self-respect, and privacy of the patient.
Every Day You Will:
- Participate in planning, organizing, and coordinating various activities within the organization. This may include overseeing staff, managing schedules, and implementing company policies.
- Assist the Manager of Operations in managing day-to-day operations in Massachusetts.
- Assist the Program Director in the development and implementation of new programs.
- Ensure compliance with all contractual guidelines and federal and state regulations governing Medicaid and the Adult Foster Care program.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day clinical operations by analyzing, monitoring, and optimizing workflows, processes, and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
- Providing oversight to AFC caregivers in conjunction with the Care Manager.
- Providing oversight and review of PCP Summary form & Plan of Care development for each member.
- Provide oversight of each member's health status semi-annually & oversight of nursing progress notes.
- Respects client and employee rights and privacy, ensure the security of protected information, practices in an ethical manner and is compliant to the agency’s compliance program and privacy policy.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members.

- Maintain strict compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Assist with documenting and developing best practices and training material.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess/Be:
- Valid and active RN License in the state of Massachusetts Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional or management experience in a health-related field or program.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
- 2 + years experience working in direct care of elders or adults with disabilities.
- 2 + years of clinical management experience.
- Ability to provide support to our patients in Boston and surrounding areas.
- 2+ years of experience in operations management, with a background in healthcare, business, or customer service.
- Experience in a startup environment and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
- Experience using a CRM.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Passion for improving home care and for leveraging technology to improve lives.
- Ability to utilize technology to advance company initiatives including knowledge of healthcare information systems.
- Energized by ambitious goals and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Great interpersonal skills: you’re able to bring people along, inspire them, ask tough questions, and hold people accountable.
- Ability to use performance management skills to define goals, appraise progress, offer consistent and effective team coaching and feedback.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- 4+ years of performance management experience.
- Master's Degree in Nursing.
- Healthcare/startup experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish, or other languages desired.
