Job Summary
Encino Energy is looking to hire a Sr Reservoir Engineer in the Reservoir & Subsurface team reporting to the Director, Reservoir & Subsurface. Responsible for maximizing the value of the company through creating predictive models to optimally develop our existing Utica Asset.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain machine learning, RTA, and simulation models for various unconventional basins.
- Recommend new methods or data acquisition programs to improve understanding and well results.
- Integrate with multi-functional teams to improve reservoir characterization and refine modeling inputs.
- Apply the models to optimize field development including completion design and well spacing recommendations.
- Interface with the asset team to gather data, share findings and refine the prediction models.
- Proven expertise in evaluating acquisition opportunities.
- Keep up to date with current industry trends by attending conferences and workshops.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, Reservoir & Subsurface.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of reservoir experience.
- Unconventional experience preferred.
- Experience with Python and Snowflake preferred.
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment consisting of small multi-disciplinary teams.
- Skills in critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Skills in active learning, understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Strong track record of organization, initiative, and independent work with effective written and verbal communication skills.

Relocation
This position is not eligible for domestic relocation.
Work Environment
This job is predominately located in a professional office environment.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. Encino has a compressed work week with a “4/9/4” Work Schedule. Employees have the option to work four nine-hour days with the addition of four hours each Friday. Some flexibility in hours is allowed.
