Position Summary
The Senior Reservoir Engineer will be an integral part of the New Ventures Team. This position will review and evaluate new business opportunities, incorporating reservoir, geology, and commercial considerations into the assessment of new business initiatives. Ideal candidates will have strong technical and commercial experience with a background in reservoir engineering, economic analysis, project planning and have exposure to new venture identification and evaluations. Direct experience in EOR project management and economic assessment is also highly favored. This individual must have a proven track record of exceptional collaboration across multidisciplinary teams as well as proven project management background. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX and will report to the Vice President of New Ventures. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible to identify and perform economic assessment of new business opportunities which are complimentary to the company's portfolio
- Leverage data analytics as well as machine learning to support enhanced commercial analysis and decision making of the group
- Present technical, commercial, and strategic merits and risks of these opportunities to senior management and key stakeholders
- Mentor and be a resource for junior staff to improve their knowledge and skills
- Additional duties as needed by management and Company operations

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 9 years of reservoir engineering or asset management experience
- Strong understanding of production, reservoir engineering and development concepts
- Proven track record of exceptional collaboration and project management skills
- Creative thinker with the proven ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment
- Ability to multitask across a varied set of new business initiatives and be flexible with the demands of a rapidly growing company
- Highly proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Aries, experience in valuation and economic modeling and industry fiscal terms
- Knowledge of related disciplines, e.g. geophysics, petrophysics, facilities, drilling, completions production operations, commercial and business issues
- Professional and skilled communicator
- Exposure across multiple US basins (Lower 48)
- Willingness and ability to travel
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
