Life-Science Innovations has a full-time opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to join the team. We’re searching for an experienced CFO to join our team of high-performing professionals and keep our finances positioned for continued success. The CFO will have day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. As a member of senior management, the CFO will be comfortable in a leadership role that requires clear and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversees and guides the objectives, initiatives and policies of the accounting/financial function for LSI.
- Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
- Develops and reports on financial performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
- Prepares short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use in strategic business planning.
- Conducts financial analyses to support the companies’ operations and operational decision making.
- Manages company cash flow and oversees cash planning ensuring adequate availability of working capital to achieve strategic goals.
- Oversees all financial operations including financial planning, budgeting, financial and costing functions, cash management and audit.
- Manages all financial management administration, ensuring maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures in accordance with state and federal requirements and GAAP.
- Provides the status of the organizations’ financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting on key financial metrics and regularly reporting to senior management and the board.
- Maintains relationships with commercial bankers and credit facilities, ensuring the company has appropriate credit arrangements, negotiating terms, etc.
- Oversees monthly, quarterly and annual financial consolidation and reporting to senior management, the board and external stakeholders.
- Maintains customer relationships and service delivery, implementing and monitoring key metrics to measure established SLAs.
- Partners with HR in overseeing benefits program evaluation.
- Builds and engages a high performing team by selecting, on-boarding and training employees.
The ideal candidate will have the following educational and experience background:
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge in financial forecasting, accounting principles and financial data analysis.
- Clear understanding of GAAP.
- Familiarity with current finance and accounting related laws and regulations.
Skills:
- Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business software including ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; skilled in the art of negotiation.
- Possess strong leadership skills and business acumen.
Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
- Ability to make important decisions under pressure, with integrity and solid moral judgment.
- Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision maker.
- Strong, collaborative business partner to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration between Finance, HR, IT and Operational Teams.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in the financial sector with a strong financial vision and insight.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior finance position.
- Previous experience in animal health, biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
Education:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, or related field.
- Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
