As the Director of Business Banking and Bank President of Telluride and Aspen, you will:
- Manage and increase Direct Contribution to NBH Bank through relationship acquisition, expansion, and retention, and delivering deposit and loan balance growth, with a specialized focus on Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, and fee income growth.
- Lead and support the leaders under your direction (and their teams) to deliver expected relationship building and service results to meet the needs of clients and prospects.
- Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently and working within established guidelines.
- Coordinate with Training Executive to develop appropriate curriculum for Business Banking Officers and Business Banking Center Managers to ensure that they have the necessary job knowledge and skills to meet client needs.
As a Director of Business Banking, you will be responsible for the Company’s business banking results regardless of the delivery channel, partner with Commercial, Personal, Private and Premier, SBA, Treasury Management and Residential Banking leaders to ensure growth in those segments as well. You will create, train, and coach a successful sales team through the development of associates with the primary goal to achieve quarterly and annual growth expectations, while serving the clients' total financial needs resulting in greater wallet share, and ultimately, greater market share and profitability. Additionally, you work with the Marketing Department to develop branding, client acquisition, and retention strategies to support Business Banking growth, and manage relationships with various business partner entities to ensure client relationship development along with managing service quality to ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
As the Director of Business Banking, you will actively participate and represent NBH Bank and corresponding Bank brands in various community, civic, and professional organizations. Identify and successfully recruit top talent while simultaneously driving increased performance of the existing team through relationship sales training, coaching, and leading by example. You will ensure accuracy of all regulatory and procedural documentation. Implement and maintain prescribed security controls while managing within the framework of NBH Bank and corresponding brands of Bank Midwest/Hillcrest/Community Banks of Colorado standards, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant job experience.
- 7+ years of previous supervisory or management experience.
Desired Skills:
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance or equivalent years of on the job experience.
- 10 years progressive experience in consumer, credit management or consulting.
- Client service oriented; very responsive and understanding to the needs of business clients.
- Specialized competencies and ability to train associates on basics of financial statement analysis, SBA and other business credit types and solutions.
- Highly effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak effectively to internal and external clients.
- Possesses and oversees strong professional and etiquette behaviors.
- Ability to lead teams and collaborate with others with passion and lead based on proactive relationship building of new business from new prospects, existing clients, and referrals.
- Proficient in MS Office applications which include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
