The US Rare Disease, Central Divisional General Manager, Commercial will be responsible for leading the US Rare Disease commercial field team within the designated geography. This role is critical in ensuring strong and consistent commercial field performance that meets forecast and expectations relating to product goals and driving accountabilities for all results throughout the Rare Disease commercial field organization. The Central Divisional General Manager, Commercial will work closely with their counterparts across commercial and medical to ensure development and execution of strong account plans for key accounts as well as drive the performance and development of community and FIND accounts. This role reports to the General Manager of US Rare Disease.
Main Responsibilities:
This role will be focused on the overall field strategy and execution of commercial plans while ensuring all activities are conducted with integrity and in strict compliance with Sanofi policies and regulations.
Lead the matrix cross-lysosomal storage diseases (xLSD) commercial field team to drive awareness and promote therapies for lysosomal storage diseases across key and Community & Development accounts.
Recruit, hire, develop, and manage commercial talent, providing performance oversight to consistently exceed brand objectives and sales goals.
Oversee strategic account teams in developing and implementing specific account plans to achieve targets, effectively allocating resources within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Provide direction on field work to assess customer and field needs, set objectives, provide coaching, and manage performance with regional directors.
Build and sustain strong relationships with clinical experts, key healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, and internal/external colleagues.
Partner with Sales Training to ensure the field sales team executes training programs effectively, establishing themselves as xLSD scientific experts.
Develop and execute strategies and tactics with key customers to ensure regional and organizational productivity, analyzing market dynamics and trends to support brand objectives.
Responsible for managing commercial field budgets, in partnership with their commercial counterpart.
About you
Bachelor's degree; MBA is highly valued.
Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a focus on rare diseases or specialized therapeutic areas.
Track record of selecting and leading talent-dense, high performing teams and developing talent.
Deep network ecosystem understanding and robust development abilities, with a track record of establishing connections, referrals, and infrastructure for key accounts.
Strategic sales leader with the ability to analyze complex market situations and pioneer innovative solutions to drive sales and optimize care.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and executive presence.
Digital literacy and digital-first mindset.
Willingness to travel as needed.

The salary range for this position is $228,750.00 to $305,000.00 USD Annually. All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
