Role Purpose
In this impactful and highly developmental role, you will work alongside the Regional Consulting Head to manage the team from a financial, operational and people perspective. You will serve as a key member of the regional Consulting Leadership Team, ensuring visibility and coordination on business development activity, staffing and operations. You will work closely with the global Consulting Leadership Team and peer Regional Consulting Managers to implement a “one team” approach across Consulting globally and increase collaboration with other regions, segments, service lines and other functions. You will drive sustainable growth by working with the Head of Consulting Strategy and Regional team, helping set and execute strategy at a regional and global level.
You will play a pivotal role in the future growth of the Consulting team in developing and driving the growth of the Regional Consulting Group (RCG) – building a sustainable talent pipeline. You will be responsible for maintaining a strong, diverse, and highly engaged regional Consulting team through outstanding hiring and people development practices. You will directly oversee the day-to-day project staffing of the RCG. You will create a learning and development environment for RCG members, providing a cross-sector experience and structured development beyond “on the job” training.
You will maintain and contribute to regional implementation of global management approaches by working alongside the Regional Consulting Head and in collaboration with peer RCMs and service line leads in other regions. You will operate within global processes, Key Performance Indicators, tools and frameworks but implement them regionally.

Main Responsibilities
Regional Commercial and operational co-ordination
- Work with the Regional Consulting Head to manage toward regional Consulting revenue and margin targets.
- Work with the Regional Consulting Head and Supply Chain Consulting (SCC) service line team to manage service line revenue and margin targets.
- Actively monitor and report on the business pipeline and other key metrics to drive performance and inform decision-making.
- Help Regional Consulting Head and Supply Chain Service line drive and coordinate business development activity across the region and globally, including week-to-week regional pipeline management, global pipeline coordination, and longer-term account and offering planning.
- Input into global and regional growth strategy and communicate strategic direction across the team.
- Own the overall regional Consulting resource plan and process. Closely monitor utilization and capacity metrics to determine where resources across the business can be leveraged and where hires are needed. Manage and monitor resource allocation to balance use of regional resources, global consulting resources, research resources, and associates.
Growth of Talent in region
- Own the Regional Consulting Group (RCG) / Early careers strategy and implementation, aligning with the global strategy and best practice.
- Co-ordinate the recruitment process, working with HR to ensure we onboard a diverse and highly qualified team.
- Drive great people-development practices across the regional team and ensure coordination across regions. Own the performance management process, including objective setting, annual reviews, project feedback, evaluation criteria, and earning & Development program. Manage performance management and regional compensation management, working closely with the Regional Consulting Head. Coach and support high-quality line management across the regional team.
- Direct RCG and SCC (Supply Chain Consulting) team staffing on projects, ensuring effective team utilization and active people development. Coordinate with global counterparts on a weekly or daily basis to optimize project staffing across the global team.
- Drive and coordinate the annual regional planning process in coordination with global WoodMac and Consulting processes.
- Work with Operations, Finance and HR to implement effective operational processes, driving operational excellence while maintaining agility. Support global reporting and management of operational processes – ensuring global consistency and drive for best practice.
Driving Collaboration
- Engage with other functions including Segments, Service Lines, Sales and Marketing.
- Lead strategic initiatives as required.

- Hub office presence expectation:
- We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 60% to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment – particularly critical given their role in building the RCG.
While this is expected to be a full-time role, part-time or flexible working arrangements will be considered. Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones.
