Hybrid Adult Neurology Opportunity with Academic Affiliation
Overview
Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Physicians and Community Medicine Specialty Care Neurology are recruiting a patient-focused General Adult Neurologist to join our excellent, multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid, inpatient/outpatient role at West Hospital in Avon and Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. Both hospitals are certified as Primary Stroke Centers from the Joint Commission and the American Health Association's Gold Plus Get With The Guidelines - Stroke quality achievement award.
Position Highlights:
- Practice in large academic affiliated hospitals alongside well-established teams
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
- Night/weekend will be limited with a reduced schedule
- Clinically focused with IUSM resident and medical student teaching
- Treat patients with a variety of diagnoses e.g., migraines, seizures, stroke, Parkinson's, MS, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Myasthenia Gravis, tremors and neuropathy
- Procedures performed include EMG, EEG, and LP
Qualifications:
- Adjunct Faculty appointment with Indiana University School of Medicine
- American Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

IU Health West Hospital, located in Avon, a beautiful suburb of Indianapolis, is a 177-bed, full-service, community-based hospital rooted in the history of excellence established by Indiana University Health. Completed in 2021, a $84 million vertical expansion to the hospital added 48 inpatient beds (ICU and acuity-adaptable), a new operating room, an inpatient dialysis unit and cath lab capacity.
