IU Health Physicians is hiring! We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurosurgery team at Methodist Hospital!
Position Details:
- Full time, Night Shift
- 3 12's per week (6:00pm-6:30am)
- Rotating weekends
- No call
- 100% inpatient
- Team includes 13 physicians and 20 APPs
- Inpatient Neurotrauma, neurovascular, and neurosurgical patients (i.e., stenosis, stroke, brain and spinal cord tumors, brain surgery, ICU)
Key Responsibilities:
- Inpatient rounding and consults
- Patient care coordination
- Ordering diagnostic imaging and labs
- Perform complete neurological exams
- Interpret data and imaging results
- Assist in developing the plan of care for patients
Qualifications:
- ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
- APP Experience in neurosurgery and/or ICU preferred
- If new graduate, clinical rotation and/or clinical rotations in neurosurgery, trauma, or ICU is required
- General knowledge of neurological deficits and disorders highly preferred
