Overview
Our Pediatric Neurosurgery team has an opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their highly respected team at Riley Children's Hospital!
Opportunity Details
- Full-time, Day Shift
- Saturday, Sunday and 1 additional weekday
- 6:00am-6:00pm
- No call
- Work directly with 5 physicians and 6 APPs
- Patient population includes inpatient pediatric neurosurgery patients, critical care, trauma, TBI, neurovascular, spine, head formation, and cranial surgery pediatric patients.
Key responsibilities
- Inpatient care and discharges
- See patients both with an MD and independently
- Order tests and labs as needed
- See post-op patients for MDs
- Perform rounds and consults
- Answer messages from nurses and MDs regarding patient needs
- Work directly with residents
Qualifications
- Master's degree required
- ACNP, FNP, PNP or PA certification required
- APP Experience in pediatric neurosurgery and/or ICU preferred
- If new graduate, clinical rotation and/or clinical rotations in pediatric neurosurgery, trauma, or ICU is required
- General knowledge of neurological deficits and disorders highly preferred
