Overview
The HRIS Leader is directly responsible for the maintenance of security, system configuration, integrations, business processes, change management, and project management associated with the company's HRIS system. This role will leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of human resources and end users of various HR systems and provide ongoing technical expertise on new functionality, system upgrades, configuration and testing, and reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of HEI's Human Resources Information Systems.
- Mentor and coach HR teams to develop system expertise and drive successful business processes.
- Develop a library of training materials and resources and effectively communicate updates to the field on a regular basis.
- Lead projects within Workday to enhance functionality and standardize HR processes.
- Effectively manage the implementation of additional Workday modules when added to the existing HRIS platform.
- Regularly audit security profiles and key data in the system and develop an ongoing process of data validation and follow-up.
- Manage and maintain all integrations flowing to and from Workday.
- Participate in the setup and configuration of new properties.
- Manage the HCM process around divested hotels in Workday.
- Maintain, administer and train end users on custom reporting in Workday.
- Ensure HEI is compliant with both internal and external audit requirements as it relates to system setup, functionality, and execution.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related field highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years HR systems experience required, 10 years preferred.
- Workday experience required and implementation experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in creating moderate to complex HRIS reports.
- Must be an experienced user of MS Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities; strong data analysis acumen and focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of overall HR functional areas and HR business processes, as well as interdependencies with Payroll, IT and Finance.
- Ability to quickly learn concepts and understand process configuration in a system.
- Excellent project management skills including scheduling, working with outside vendors and internal teams.
- Interest in or knowledge of project management methodologies.
