Duties:
- Conducting patent and trademark searches
- Drafting and prosecuting patent and trademark applications
- Advising clients on patent and trademark infringement matters
- Handling patent and trademark litigation
- Providing legal counsel on intellectual property matters
- Managing client relationships and portfolios
- Collaborating with other attorneys and staff on intellectual property cases
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity
- Years of experience in patent and trademark law
- A portable book of business is preferred
- Group of attorneys with portable business highly desirable
- Strong understanding of patent and trademark laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
- Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity
