Aptiv is seeking a high energy, top performer to join its growing Global Legal & Compliance Team in New York City, reporting to the Vice President, Chief Compliance, Regulatory & Risk Counsel

Your Role:
- Be an integral part of the global Compliance Specialty Team in the Global Legal & Compliance organization.
- Ensuring Aptiv continues to have a robust global compliance program, which includes relevant polices, codes, training and internal communications consistent with Aptiv's Values and dedication to "Do The Right Thing, The Right Way."
- Helping to coordinate governance structure, policies, procedures, and processes related to business ethics, regulatory compliance, and product integrity matters, including Aptiv's Code of Ethical Business Conduct, Supplier Code of Conduct, and Safety & Warranty Advisory Team ("SWAT") process.
- Helping oversee investigations, reporting and resolution of compliance issues through the Aptiv Drive Line (Aptiv's ethics hotline) and other mechanisms; as part of that, help to update investigation best practices, reporting and remediation protocols, as well as related record-keeping.
- Partnering with relevant business colleagues to ensure appropriate risk oversight of relationships with 3rd parties, such as customers, suppliers, government officials, and intermediaries.
- Identifying emerging legal risks with potential to impact Aptiv and working with cross-functional teams to form plan to mitigate globally.
- Coordinating consistent legal support to Aptiv's ESG / Sustainability Initiatives, including advising on regulatory requirements and emerging issues surrounding supply chain compliance and due diligence.
- Helping lead Global Legal & Compliance Team's training initiatives, outreach and internal engagement campaigns.
- Guide Aptiv's compliance goals of ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and reinforcing a speak-up culture.
- Advise on diverse compliance topics and policies, such as conflict of interest, anti-bribery laws, fair competition and whistleblowing.
Your Background:
- 7+ years post qualification experience (PQE)
- Experience in a law firm and/or a multinational company
- Licensed to practice as an attorney.
- Experience as an attorney advising multinational organizations on complex global matters
- Experience working in a corporate legal environment with increasing levels of responsibility preferred
- Ability to handle a variety of complex legal matters and identify, anticipate, and develop solutions-oriented strategies that mitigate legal risks, while achieving commercial targets
- Ability to work well independently and manage global, complex projects, often involving cross-functional teams guide on projects as part of a global team that manages international in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to serve as a business partner and build consensus on complex legal and business issues while viewing legal issues through a business lens
- Ability to work on and oversee legal and compliance technology platforms
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; additional language skills a bonus

Salary Range: $124,000 - 271,000
*As a candidate for this position, your salary and will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Aptiv considers relevant to the hiring decision.
