Accounts Payable (A/P) Associate - Entry Level (NYC-Based FinTech SaaS Firm)

This is an hourly paid position with a starting rate of $22/hour. 40 hours per week. This is a Temp to Perm position with the opportunity to convert to Full Time Hire Salary with Benefits after 3 months.
We require 3 days per week in the Midtown office for the initial training period (4 weeks), then 1 day per week in the office, and remaining days would be remote. Our office hours are 9am to 6pm M-F.
We need someone that is very detail oriented, with excellent communication skills and comfortable with repetitive tasks. You will also need to be comfortable documenting and presenting to clients.
This role is responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients utilizing our Expense Allocation Software (EAS). Your primary focus will be accurately entering and processing invoices, ensuring timely and error-free transactions. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring the smooth operation of our SaaS solution.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process invoices accurately and efficiently using our accounts payable software, adhering to established procedures and client-specific requirements.
- Verify invoice details, including vendor information, purchase orders, quantities, and pricing, to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation tasks to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in invoice processing.
- Collaborate closely with clients to address any questions, concerns, or issues related to invoice processing and resolve them in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal teams, such as implementation, sales, and customer success, to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of client interactions, issues, and resolutions in the support ticketing system.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our SaaS solution by providing feedback on system enhancements, usability, and user experience.
- Create procedure manuals and guides for clients or general processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SaaS solutions and experience in providing customer support in a software environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and invoice processing tools; experience with popular accounts payable software platforms is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently or escalate them as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data entry and analysis.
