We are seeking a commercial lawyer to provide general legal services at an exciting global company with U.S. offices located in New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, New Hampshire, Florida, and Oregon.
Job Overview:
Commercial lawyer with 7-10 years’ experience in contract drafting and commercial transactions to provide legal review, advice, and support on a broad range of legal matters including strategic transactions, commercial contracting, quality and operations, claims resolution and general corporate matters, with a particular focus on strategic sourcing and procurement matters as well as capital expenditure and construction projects. Strong drafting, communication and negotiating skills required.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for assuring the availability, continuity and quality of competent, timely and cost-efficient legal services.
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel to support contractual and commercial projects for Lonza’s business operations and initiatives.
- Work closely with all business functions and senior management.
- Identify areas of company risk and make proposals for and lead implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Level: J.D. degree required
Minimum Years Required Experience: 7-10 Years solid experience
