Position: Commercial Litigation Associate

Description: Steptoe LLP, seeks an associate with 2 – 3 years of litigation experience to join the Firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group in our Chicago office. Qualified candidates will have experience drafting briefs and motions, handling fact and expert discovery, and engaging in deposition and trial preparation. Candidates must have strong interpersonal, communication, research, analysis, and writing skills, as well as a track record of academic and professional excellence. They should be prepared to assume significant responsibility in the management of their matters, and to take on a front-facing role with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits in a collegial working environment that provides training and mentorship. The expected salary for this position is $225,000 – $250,000, depending on experience.
A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required. Bar membership, active and in good standing, in the jurisdiction where you are practicing, is also required.
