We have an opening for a Reactor Operator.
Responsibilities:
- Tends to equipment or systems that process chemical substances into industrial products.
- Dumps specified amounts of solid materials into heating vessels or blending tanks.
- Turns valves to feed liquid and gaseous materials through equipment units.
- Maintains system at specified temperature, pressure, and vacuum levels.
- Observes chemical reactions; monitors gauges, signals, and recorders; and receives notification from control laboratory, supervisor, or other workers to make specified operating adjustments.
- Draws samples of products for laboratory analysis.
- Maintains log of gauge readings and shift production.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Chemical processing experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Union membership required after 30 days of employment.
Shift: 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 am).
Occasional overtime may be required.
Pay: $23.77 per hour until certified, then $27.73 per hour.
Shift differential of $1.50 per hour is paid for 2nd shift in addition to wage rate above.
