Director Project Governance and Oversight

Summary:
The Director, Project Governance & Oversight (G&O) is responsible for developing Project Management processes and procedures that govern how projects are managed and controlled from initiation through close-out within RES. This includes all project stages from handover, engineering, procurement, execution, close-out, and potential hand-off to support services. The G&O team develops and implements a governance framework to ensure adherence to processes and procedures to drive the efficient allocation of resources and enable proper reporting, transparency, and profitability of RES Construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Standardize Procedures: Designs and implements standardized project management procedures across all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure uniformity and consistency in execution.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring: Establishes a rigorous quality assurance framework ensuring all projects adhere to standardized procedures and benchmarks.
- Performance Metrics and KPI Development: Develops and defines key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness and efficiency of standardized procedures.
- Training and Capability Building: Creates comprehensive training opportunities through tools and standardized procedures available in a Project Management Knowledge Center.
- Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement: Leads the initiative for continuous improvement by soliciting feedback from project teams and stakeholders to refine procedures.
- Stakeholder Communication and Engagement: Maintains transparent communication channels with all stakeholders to explain the value and rationale behind standardization processes.
- Additional Responsibilities: Updates processes and procedures to reflect best practices based on feedback from field operations, project management, and Accountable Lead Managers (ALMs).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong Project management skills with an advanced understanding of PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable recommendations.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading high-performance teams.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 and experience with ERP systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, required.
- 12 or more years of experience in Project management in the Construction Industry, required.
- 2 or more years of experience in team leadership, required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 16 to 30%, required.
Anticipated base salary range: $170,000 - $200,000
