YOUR ROLE:
As a Director of UX, you will be responsible for leading UX Designers and the transformation of our experience requirements into beautiful experience maps, journeys, flows, wireframes, and prototypes. You will work closely with experience planners, creative, and copy teams to see experiences through to the finish line. You’ll be a trusted advisor to the clients, agency partners, and our internal team to help realize our UX goals and overall vision.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading a team of UX Designers to support, motivate, and cultivate talent and great work.
- Work with business units to understand the objectives.
- Help guide discovery sessions.
- Help build and maintain early UX documents like personas and journey maps.
- Facilitate design thinking collaboration sessions.
- Collaborate with technology and creative teams to understand feasibility and brand alignment requirements.
- Design and iterate on unbelievably cool experiences.
- Annotate, validate, and present defensible cases for the choices you’ve made to team and clients.
- Create and manage enterprise-level component design libraries as well as clickable prototypes using Figma for ideation, solutioning, user testing, and development.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years of UX/IA experience. Interactive agency experience strongly desired.
- 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Produce effective wireframes, design mock-ups, and prototypes to communicate ideas to others.
- Understanding of the types of experiences that are made possible by current digital technologies.
- Knowledge of cross-browser, cross-platform, cross-device implementation techniques, as well as cross-channel UX experience (email, text, web, mobile app, etc.).
- Strong experience with design libraries (development and management of components at an enterprise level).
- Strong expert in Figma crafting UX deliverables.
- Experience supporting user usability testing integration. Beneficial to have experience creating and/or moderating user testing.
- A strong UX portfolio showcasing impactful case studies.
- The ability to walk your team and clients through your findings and recommendations.
- The ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and group-think sessions.
- A team player with excellent attention to detail.
- An understanding of a variety of technology frameworks, usability heuristics, and design trends.
- Beneficial to have financial institutions, pharma, and/or automotive client experience.
- Beneficial to have experience leading offshore resources.

This range is specific to NYC and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications, etc. This is an exempt position.
