Join Our Team as a Senior Accountant!

We are a dynamic and innovative company located in Miramar, FL, seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all three financial statements, with a specific focus on managing a portion of the company’s inventory accounting. Responsibilities

Participate in the month-end close process ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries.
Manage a portion of the company’s inventory accounting, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation.
Perform complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations, and investigate any discrepancies.
Analyze inventory transactions such as scrap, recoveries, stock adjustments, and transfers, and provide monthly reporting metrics to management.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, highlighting key insights and trends to assist management in decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.
Maintain system reports and address integration issues related to mapping.
Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to inventory.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant accounting standards.
Assist in audits and respond to inquiries from auditors as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA is a plus although not required.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience in inventory accounting.
7+ years’ experience in professional accounting.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills highly desired.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

Total Compensation: $90-110k
