Summary: This position is located in the Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) division at the Atlanta Regional Office (RO). The VR&E Officer is responsible for all VR&E operations within the purview of the regional office. The efficiency with which the Management and Program Analyst carries out his/her duties directly impacts the ability of the VR&E Officer to provide the complete range of Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment services.

Responsibilities: Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Management Analyst (MA) is directly responsible to the VR&E Officer in several key areas.
The MA serves as senior advisor to the administrative staff supervised by the Assistant VR&E Officer.
Responsible for assisting the VR&E Chief and subordinate managers/supervisors by performing in-depth mission, process, and administrative systems analyses.
Serves as a project manager and carries out a complete range of senior administrative support.
Coordinates the work of the support staff to ensure that the manager can concentrate on mission management.
Provides administrative/technical support to the manager in contract monitoring and all necessary actions.
Initiates, directs, coordinates, and conducts studies involving realignment of services and methods of operations to promote efficiency and productivity.
Conducts in-depth studies on the effectiveness of major processes in the VR&E Program and prepares technical reports with recommendations for compliance with VBA standards.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Telework: Available as determined by agency policy.

Requirements: To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/30/2024. Applicants must have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks and meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-12 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. Specialized experience includes basic qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze, evaluate, and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational operations.

Education: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
