Real Estate - Associates (Location Flexible)
We are seeking experienced Real Estate Associates to join our prestigious AmLaw 50 national law firm, renowned for its exceptional real estate practice. This position constitutes a pivotal role within our firm, offering a flexible office location across our national network, including offices in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; New York, NY; and Washington, DC. As a part of our dynamic team, you will handle complex and significant transactions, which include real estate financing, representing lenders, and dealing with commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). This role not only promises substantial professional growth and exposure to high-profile projects but also a supportive and innovative environment to enhance your legal expertise.
Compensation: $31,000.00 - $390,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage extensively in various real estate transactions with a focus on financing and lender representation.
- Draft and negotiate detailed co-lender and intercreditor agreements.
- Manage processes and transactions involving commercial mortgage-backed securities.
- Collaborate proactively across teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to our clients.
- Participate in continuum professional development programs to stay updated with current legal practices and emerging trends in real estate law.
- Maintain high quality legal service by advocating for clients and safeguarding our firm's integrity and professional ethics.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Bar certification in the state of office location.
- 4-6 years of experience in real estate law focusing on real estate financing, lender representation, and CMBS.
- Proven ability to handle complex legal transactions confidently and independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a large national or top regional law firm preferred.
- Demonstrate leadership potential in managing client relations and team collaborations.
- Advanced certifications or completion of specialized courses in real estate law, finance, or related fields.
- Prior exposure to international real estate law practices and frameworks.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to influence complex legal discussions.
