Location: Illinois (IL), Oklahoma (OK), North Carolina (NC)
Travel Requirement: Up to 80% travel across the Uptown Portfolio of Hotels
Experience Required: 2-3 years as Assistant Director of Finance in a midsize property or 1+ years as Director of Finance in a smaller property
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Task Force Assistant Director of Finance to join our team. This role will support financial operations across our Uptown Portfolio of Hotels located in Illinois, Oklahoma, and North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be flexible with extensive travel and possess a strong background in hotel finance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Operations Management:
- Assist in directing and administering all financial operations across multiple hotel properties.
- Ensure consistent financial practices and policies are implemented and maintained.
- Manage and oversee financial department teams, including Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Night Audit functions.
- Provide supervision, professional development, and performance evaluations for team members.
- Support recruitment, training, and onboarding processes for new finance team members.
- Budgeting and Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and monitor budgets to ensure spending aligns with financial goals.
- Oversee the preparation of annual depreciation schedules for assets.
- Coordinate and review monthly financial statements for accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports and accruals.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Review and approve all ledger account reconciliations, including bank statements and credit cards.
- Assist with internal audits of cash deposits and transfers.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations by reviewing and approving tax returns.
- Maintain records of inventory and uphold established billing and credit standards.
- Payroll Management:
- Oversee daily payroll accounts.
- Approve and issue all paychecks in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 2-3 years as an Assistant Director of Finance in a midsize property, or
- 1+ years as a Director of Finance in a smaller property.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time across IL, OK, and NC.
