About The Position
As the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance at Dotdash Meredith, you will have a hand in shaping strategy and business decisions for the largest digital publisher in the US. This is a fast-paced, evolving role with ample opportunities for impact. Reporting to the SVP of Strategic Finance, you will work in a creative and collaborative environment, using data to deliver actionable insights and inform decisions.
You will partner with editorial teams, product engineers, and other revenue and data analytics teams to work on powerful brands in home, food & beverage, tech, travel, family, beauty, and entertainment (including powerhouses like People, Better Homes and Gardens, Travel and Leisure, Verywell, and AllRecipes) to drive measurable results.
This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Team:
The Strategic finance team reports through the Finance Organization and partners work on the most important initiatives within Dotdash Meredith whether that is partnering with existing business leaders, expanding organically into new capabilities or verticals, or external M&A.
About The Positions Contributions:
- Partner with key stakeholders to come up with, implement, and track improvements and new initiatives across the Dotdash Meredith portfolio of brands.
- Analyze investment and performance of data develop insights and proposals to maximize efficiency and drive revenue/audience growth.
- Proactively identify and monitor key performance metrics, frameworks, and insights for our digital business including improving existing strategies and launching new initiatives.
- On a regular basis, debrief and collaborate with key stakeholders (including the CFO, Chief Commerce Officer, GMs) on key findings and proposed responsive actions and plans for improvements.
- Develop reference materials and presentations that inform stakeholders, including dashboards and/or monthly reports that can be distributed.
- Occasionally, forecast revenue, sessions, and other metrics after major improvements.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a top management consulting, investment bank, and/or media/entertainment/tech company in a strategic/analytical role.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an ability to apply data to drive decision-making. Experience with data analytics, financial modeling, or financial analysis.
- Exceptional communications skills, ability to present effectively, ability to summarize detailed and complex findings for senior leader audiences at the company.
- Must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and able to work independently. Must be adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to identify issues/opportunities for improvement and be proactive in addressing them.
- Candidate must possess a high level of intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
- Previous management experience is highly preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
- Advanced experience with spreadsheet tools like Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable analyzing large datasets is a must.
- Experience working with data visualization tools such as Looker.
- Strong proficiency in Google Slides.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
