Responsibilities
Summary
The Senior Treasury Analyst supports the organization's treasury operation by supporting cash management strategy and execution, reporting daily, weekly, monthly cash flow forecasts, coordinating debt-related interest and principal payments, administering all bank accounts, and performing all support activities needed to process EFT payments through Treasury, as well as evaluating new banking products and services. In addition, this position will be responsible for preparing weekly journal entries for daily cash activity, and reconciling bank accounts as needed. This role will also serve as backup to the Treasury Accountant as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- The Senior Treasury Analyst develops and maintains short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts to review with EVP, Finance and Treasurer.
- Coordinates debt-related interest and principal payments and maintains a calendar for all scheduled payments.
- The Senior Treasury Analyst coordinates the preparation and submission of borrowing, conversion and continuation notices required by the company's credit facilities.
- Manages banking relationships and partners with facility units to identify and implement process improvements for appropriate banking services and products.
- The Senior Treasury Analyst monitors and analyzes facility banking activity to reduce fees and fraudulent activity.
- Analyzes the use of, and need for all domestic bank accounts periodically, and coordinates the opening, closing and maintenance of all bank accounts as needed.
- Maintains a master list of wire information and coordinates wire & ACH transfer requests with other departments as needed, as well as initiating all on-demand and recurring EFT payments in online banking applications.
- Verifies payment instructions and maintains all electronic payment support.
- Quickly addresses and resolves all transactional issues, including fraudulent transactions.
- Reviews daily check exception reports and works with stakeholders to clear exceptions.
- Manages the checkbook for payments related to our Canadian subsidiary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience.
- Must have experience using spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively to ensure that all necessary information is obtained to perform the duties assigned.
- Advanced Excel knowledge preferred, along with any experience with Hyperion, Infinium, AS400 and online banking applications. Ability to work with computers and learn the necessary software typically used by the department is required.
