We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join the Human Resources team who will be responsible for providing strategic advice and guidance on various HR related issues. You will be responsible for leveraging a broad understanding of the business and partners with HR Communities of Expertise (CoEs) to lead, execute and support cyclical HR program activities with your client groups. Reporting to the Director, Business HR you will support leaders on matters of employee relations, organizational review and design, performance management, workforce planning, employee engagement and change management. You will act as an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) champion to ensure consideration is given to EDI in all areas of work.

HR Consulting
- Foster effective business relationships within assigned client group(s), aligning program planning with HR strategies and provide proactive advice and innovative solutions tailored to current and future business needs, maintaining a thorough understanding of clients' operations
- Support leaders on performance improvement, disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution
- Recommend employee relations practices to enhance positive employer-employee relationships and employee experience
- Collaborate with CoEs and HR Operations to meet clients' business needs, deploying cyclical HR program activities algin with Seneca’s Strategic Plan and HR Strategic priorities
Organizational Design, Job Design and Workforce Planning
- Actively engage in strategic workforce planning, representing HR and identify opportunities for organizational improvement
- Provide expert advice on organizational design and change, partnering with clients to facilitate effective change processes while managing risk
- Analyze Seneca's workforce planning/strategy, forecasting trends to ensure the institution stays ahead and supports leaders in ongoing staffing and workforce planning, develop HR plans and contribute to talent acquisition initiatives while ensuring compliance with policies and legislative requirements
Human Resources Solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality and value-added services and advocate for change management and cultural values within client groups for HR-related initiatives
- Work with CoE’s to revise and review HR strategy and programs aligned with business needs, incorporating customer feedback
- Support the development and implementation of HR plans, programs and tools with CoE’s, overseeing timely project completion and implementation
Research and Reporting
- Conduct research, analyze data, and create confidential documents for recommendations to Senior HR Business Partner and Director
Join Our Team
Whether you hold a post-secondary credential such as Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field or have the equivalency of 5+ years’ experience in human resources as a generalist with experience in consulting, change management, workforce planning, and HR transformation, we encourage you to apply.
