Nûr Dental Laboratory is a family run business. It is a prosthetic & removable orthodontic laboratory located in the heart of Newport, South Wales. All work is manufactured on-site by our fully registered and qualified dental care professionals. We utilise state-of-the art techniques and world-class materials to produce the highest quality appliances for our patients. We are regularly investing and testing capabilities in digital dentures and orthodontic processes, connecting and shaping the future of dentistry in the UK.
We are a rapidly expanding dental laboratory and are seeking an additional dental technician with good dental appliance fabricating skills to join our young dynamic team. A knowledge of the digital dental workflow would be advantageous.
We are looking to hire an experienced Dental Technician with a minimum of 1 year experience.
We have a friendly working environment in a modern, quality-focused dental laboratory equipped with all the digital technology required.
Applicants must be effective communicators both in person and on the phone, as well as being confident, punctual and with a keen eye for attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be a self motivated worker but also work as part of a production team. The role involves all aspects of dental technology and digital workflow.
Dental Laboratory Technician - Prosthetics/Orthodontics
Job Summary:
- Fabricate orthodontic appliances
- Design, fabricate or repair dental devices
- Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
- Prepare plaster models and moulds
- Polish and buff dentures
- Finish metal framework of dentures
- Mould wax over dentures set-up
- Pack acrylic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
- Following the specifications and instructions of dentists
- Collaborating with dentists, other dental technicians and lab managers to ensure the accuracy and quality of your work
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the final products
- Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the assigned laboratory equipment and tools
Qualifications:
- GDC registration required.
- GCSE or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience essential.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must possess the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
- Must possess the ability to follow instructions regarding confidentiality of personnel and client information.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, clients, and management.
