Job Description: - The VIP/SAM Group (VSG) Strategy Development engineer is responsible for ensuring that the program team is aligned/positioned for continued growth within the existing Customer/User community for Executive Airlift and adjacent Customers, leveraging the proven capabilities that exist today. In addition, the VSG Strategy Development engineer will perform the essential functions listed below.
- Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance our product offerings in the Executive Airlift business
- Lead cross-functional teams in the assessment and integration of new technologies into existing product lines
- Conduct technical market analysis to identify emerging technologies and potential partnerships or acquisitions
- Provide technical expertise in the development of proposals and presentations to clients and stakeholders
- Serve as single point-of-contact between Engineering development programs and IRAD team to ensure ongoing alignment
- Work with Chief Engineering Organization staff and Program Management to develop tactical and operational plans and goals for VSG
- Manage & execute a 5+ year strategy plan with minimal oversight or direction
Job Qualification Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret (SCI) security clearance with the ability to maintain, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Established leadership relationships with existing Customer/Users (Big Safari, Presidential Airlift Group, 89th Airlift Wing, Air Mobility Command, etc.) and partners (Boeing, Viasat, SpaceX, etc.)
- Demonstrated promotion of open and productive collaboration and teamwork across multiple functions
- Understanding of entire program/engineering life cycle phases and how funding is established
- SLC3S-A mission communications architecture experience
- Extensive knowledge of airworthiness, FAA & military certification processes
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Clearances/credentials that allow for ready access to offsite Executive Airlift and Air Mobility Command customers & aircraft
- Chief Engineering Organization and/or Functional Management leadership experience
- Proven experience with executive-level interactions and communication
- Knowledge of coordinating cross-functional Agency customers and international partners
- Experience working with a major aircraft OEM/prime
