Job Summary We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling System Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join one of our dynamic client teams'. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IBM Sterling Control Center, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling File Gateway, Helm, Kubernetes, Linux, AWS Direct Connect, HTTPS and SFTP. This role requires rotational shifts and offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities - Configure and manage IBM Sterling Secure Proxy to secure data transfers.
- Implement and maintain IBM Sterling File Gateway for efficient file transfers.
- Provide support and maintenance for IBM Sterling Control Center ensuring seamless operations.
- Administer Linux servers ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Oversee the deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Manage Helm charts for application deployment and configuration management.
- Utilize AWS Direct Connect to establish secure and reliable connections between on-premises and cloud environments.
- Ensure secure data transmission using HTTPS and SFTP protocols.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure processes and procedures.
- Participate in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
- Continuously evaluate and improve infrastructure to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications - Possess a strong understanding of Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and management.
- Demonstrate expertise in Linux administration including performance tuning and security hardening.
- Have hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Control Center IBM Sterling Secure Proxy and IBM Sterling File Gateway.
- Show proficiency in AWS Direct Connect for hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Exhibit knowledge of secure data transmission protocols such as HTTPS and SFTP.
- Display excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Possess strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Be adaptable to rotational shifts and a hybrid work model.

Salary and Other Compensation: This position is accepting applications until 11/24/2024.
The annual salary for this position is between $52,000 - $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
