Compensation: $23.50 - $38.90 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct accurate and detailed clinical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Implement quality control guidelines to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to communicate findings and participate in case reviews.
- Handle specimen collection and processing with dignity and in accordance with ethical standards.
- Complete records keeping and data entry tasks to comply with department and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated with new testing methods and industry advancements through continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician program (required).
- Current MT/CLS (ASCP) or MLT/CLS (ASCP) certification (required).
- Ability to work 36-hour shifts, available for day and night rotations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for high-quality test execution.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- New graduates must have completed a clinical in a high-volume lab.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a high-volume medical laboratory.
- Specialized training or experience in Blood Bank operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in multiple laboratory testing specialties.
- History of engaging in professional development and certification courses.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
