Lab / Medical Lab Tech or Medical Technologist / MT or MLT

We are eager to invite a skilled Lab/Medical Lab Tech or Medical Technologist to become part of our dynamic laboratory team. You'll be tasked with performing complex tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Compensation: $23.50 - $38.90 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct accurate and detailed clinical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures.
Implement quality control guidelines to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to communicate findings and participate in case reviews.
Handle specimen collection and processing with dignity and in accordance with ethical standards.
Complete records keeping and data entry tasks to comply with department and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated with new testing methods and industry advancements through continuing education and professional growth opportunities.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician program (required).
Current MT/CLS (ASCP) or MLT/CLS (ASCP) certification (required).
Ability to work 36-hour shifts, available for day and night rotations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for high-quality test execution.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
New graduates must have completed a clinical in a high-volume lab.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in a high-volume medical laboratory.
Specialized training or experience in Blood Bank operations.
Demonstrated proficiency in multiple laboratory testing specialties.
History of engaging in professional development and certification courses.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Skills:

Expert proficiency with modern laboratory diagnostic equipment.
Robust data management and documentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction.
Ability to adapt to new technologies and procedural developments in the field.
Exceptional multitasking excellence to manage various testing demands concurrently.
