Pay Information: $1,216 to $1,400 per week
About The Position:
This Speech Language Pathologist will provide counseling services to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the regular student population (treating mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, conduct disorders) to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development. Responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and strengths, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans, and providing individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issues.
They will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments, provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed. They will also coordinate outreach activities that support students and families including pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and agencies such as DCF, DMH, etc.
School assignments are typically nine months in length but can vary depending on the length of the contract and school calendar.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
- State Certification and / or Licensure is Required to Start the Assignment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a School Setting is Preferred
- Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
- Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school and educational settings
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Strong Knowledge of Child Development, Learning Theories, and Behavioral Interventions
