Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to animal welfare and have the skills necessary to provide high-quality medical care to a variety of animal species. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and educating pet owners on proper care. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for animals, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
- Provide critical care for animals in emergency situations, utilizing veterinary critical care techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on animal anatomy knowledge, veterinary terminology, and proper pet care practices.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff in managing patient care and treatment plans.
- Utilize laboratory skills for diagnostic testing and analysis when necessary.
- Implement effective animal handling techniques to ensure the safety of both staff and animals during examinations or treatments.
- Participate in practice management activities to enhance clinic operations and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary college.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state of employment.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, veterinary terminology, and common diseases affecting various species.
- Experience with animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and grooming is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with dog training principles is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
