Description
The role of the Stroke Program Coordinator is one of educator, collaborator, consultant, and change agent. The primary responsibilities are to drive quality, improve clinical outcomes, and facilitate programmatic growth and to serve as a resource for patient and staff education. The coordinator will also assist in the advancement of clinical standards through participation in multidisciplinary teams to develop order sets and care algorithms. Will also provide formal and informal education to caregivers and communities on cerebrovascular topics. In conjunction with the Stroke Center Medical Director and other physician leaders, the Stroke Center Coordinator maintains and implements new recommendations from The Joint Commission (TJC) and the America Stroke Association, as well as knowledge on evidence-based practice changes.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 5 years of recent experience in acute care hospital setting, providing care to stroke and neuro patients.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- SCRN or CNRN upon hire
