Ultrasound Technologist
We are a premier imaging services provider in the Denver area, seeking to hire a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time float position focusing on Body/Breast Ultrasound. Compensation: $73,000 to $106,000 annually, depending on experience plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Full-time float position requiring adaptability and proficient handling of various situations and locations.
- Independently perform Ultrasound exams, producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing detailed explanations about the procedures and answering any queries to ensure patient comfort and knowledge.
- Responsible for meticulous documentation, including obtaining and recording interpretation for each exam.
- Adhere to strict safety standards, perform quality control procedures on Ultrasound equipment, and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Prioritize patient exams effectively and function as a first responder in critical situations requiring immediate medical imaging.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must have RMDS certifications in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and RVT.
- Required to hold a current BLS certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a sonographer, demonstrating a track record of independent work and high-quality imaging.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Exemplary patient care and customer service skills, exhibiting empathy and effective communication in patient interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in both clinical and outpatient settings.
- Advanced certifications or specializations in medical imaging related fields.
- Experience with the latest imaging technology and software.
Skills:
- Technical proficiency with Ultrasound imaging and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of educating and calming patients during procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- A keen eye for detail and dedication to accuracy in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to respond swiftly and competently in emergency situations.
