Elwyn Adult Behavioral Health Services is seeking a Residential Case Manager to provide counseling and advocacy in therapeutic settings assisting young adult through geriatric clients with chronic mental illness and co-occurring disorders, achieve social, economic, emotional, and personal independence in order to live in the community.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Understands the signs and symptoms of mental illnesses and intervenes therapeutically in a recovery based environment. Knowledgeable of DSM classifications and conditions. Empowers clients through advocacy and skill building. Exercises good judgment and decision making, particularly during crisis situations. Ensures that clients live in a safe and clean environment.
- Demonstrates knowledge of prescribed medications, ability to monitor medications, and follows FHR state specific medication guidelines.
- Maintains client records in accordance with agency policy and procedures. Produces timely, accurate and thorough recordkeeping in accordance with agency, state or federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Service field, such as Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitative Counseling, or closely related discipline is required. Associates degree may be substituted with applicable experience.
