Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company’s credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with customers. This position requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in accounting software, as well as excellent communication abilities to effectively handle client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments from customers.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with customers via phone and email to collect outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts payable and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilise accounting software for data entry and tracking of receivables.
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette while addressing client inquiries regarding their accounts.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a credit control or finance-related role is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and financial services is advantageous.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for client interaction.
- Proficiency in data entry and experience using accounting software is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are necessary for managing multiple accounts efficiently.
