The External SEC Financial Reporting Professional participates in the preparation of periodic financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC rules and regulations. The work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues involving understanding and applying accounting policy to transactions in a matrixed environment.
The External SEC Financial Reporting Professional ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing select journal entries involving sensitive or complex consolidated and subsidiary financial accounts in a timely and accurate manner for inclusion in internal and external financial statements.
- Maintaining and adapting SOX control environment processes and documentation.
- Performing research, analysis, and implementation of new accounting standards and interpretations.
- Influencing department’s strategy in setting organizational accounting policy and standards.
- Making decisions on moderately complex to complex technical accounting issues as a subject matter resource for GAAP and SEC reporting.
- Leading and managing special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships.
- Driving innovation and automation in the financial reporting process.
Work is performed with limited direction and considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA
- 4-7 years of technical experience in GAAP and SEC Reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Big Four public accounting experience
- Oracle FCCS experience
Additional Information
This is a remote, WAH position; however, the candidate must be able to accommodate working in EST or CST time.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$76,800 - $105,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
