Description
The Communication Consultant is responsible for delivery of high-quality employee benefit communication consulting services and materials to Milliman clients, as well as internal partners within Milliman. The Communication Consultant reports to a Senior Communication Consultant and will work directly with our other Consultants, Creative Team, Relationship Managers and Benefits Educators to develop award-winning print and electronic employee communication campaigns from concept through production.
What You Will Do
- Develop strategy, write content, and manage projects for a wide range of benefit-related topics and initiatives, for both print and interactive communication. This includes targeted email campaigns, video scripts, presentations, blogs, websites, brochures, newsletters, print campaigns, health & welfare open enrollment campaigns, and benefit websites. Monitor communication campaigns for effectiveness and compliance.
- Provide strategic, ongoing relationship management support to assigned clients.
- Collaborate directly with graphic designers on creative themes for multimedia campaigns.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and key technical reviewer for retirement and health and welfare benefit education content, including benefit newsletters or change notifications, summary plan descriptions, brochures, required notices, enrollment guides, fund change information, and plan design or provision changes.
- Remain current with the latest industry communication trends and the development of new media services to help our clients to achieve a better employee experience.
- Identify opportunities to improve current materials/processes and create new products.
- Serve as a resource for required projects on an as needed basis; accept other duties as assigned.
Who We Are Looking For
Required Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- 5+ years of experience in communication consulting, with an emphasis on Human Resources, benefit and/or retirement communication.
- Superb written and oral communication skills and ability to present complex topics in a clear and appealing manner. Able to participate in prospect and client presentations.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Teams, and other business applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with and understanding of employer retirement plan provisions and regulations; experience and knowledge of health and welfare programs, total rewards and other benefits areas a plus.
- Proficiency in WordPress, Squarespace, SharePoint and/or Adobe Creative Cloud a plus.

- Proficiency in the use of computers and other general office equipment.

Location
This role is based out of the Milliman office in Dallas, TX, but candidates hired into this role may work remotely anywhere in the US.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $87,000 - $140,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
