A Day in the Life
Provide financial and strategic support to Several CST Sales Vice-Presidents and District Sales Managers to maximize revenue while realizing cost and operational efficiencies.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide financial leadership/direction to the regional sales management staff and develop/implement revenue growth plans in partnership with sales leadership.
- Lead and prepare monthly business reviews of regional business results and provide actionable guidance to sales management. This includes P&L analysis, expense policy monitoring, identification and execution on strategies to improve profit margins.
- Financial Management of the Region. This includes P&L analysis, Resource allocation, expense policy monitoring, cost center management, identification and execution on strategies to improve profitability.
- Lead and coordinate the development of regional and district level strategic plans. This includes account level product launch strategies.
- Lead regional annual operating plan process (Rosters, Alignments, Quota, Expense budgeting).
- Provide financial leadership to the RVP, District Managers and Region Managers in developing robust, accurate revenue and expense forecasts.
- Evaluate region and district opportunity pipelines, implant and usage trends (among other metrics) for opportunities to optimize results.
- Ensure appropriate accounting controls (expense and revenue) and pricing policies are maintained and operating as expected.
- Engage Sales business partners to analyze asset management performance, DSO and Free Cash Flow. Work with them to create and implement strategies focused on improvement.
- Collaborate with RVP and HR on sales force alignment, performance and compensation strategies.
- Collaborate with CST Sales Finance Team members to create robust and consistent operating mechanisms for managing RVP/BU communications across CST.
- Collaborate with Sales Systems team to optimize systems tools and reporting.
- Partners with Director of Strategic Sales and National IDN Managers/Directors to build long term strategic alliances with multiple stakeholders for key accounts within the region.
- Engage in special projects as assigned.
- All activities must be performed in compliance with the local Quality System.
- Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
- Performs and analyzes financial modeling, economic research, trends and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, cash flow, investments, and cost against budget, variance analysis, forecasting, financial planning and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and/or income statements.
- Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management.
- Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.
- May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit, division or group.
- Domestic travel up to 20%.
MUST HAVE (BASIC QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
- OR Advanced Degree with 8+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
- MBA in Finance is desirable.
- Contracting experience.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deliver tough messages aimed at enabling the sales management team and CST to succeed.
- Sound analytical skills, ability to manipulate and interpret data for decision making.
- Solid business acumen.
- Self-motivated and goal oriented.
- Tactful, exercises independent judgment and discretion.
- Excellent written/oral communication & presentation skills.

Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package
Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $127,200.00 - $190,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
