ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Outpatient Heart Rhythm Cardiology Clinic. The APP will work collaboratively with electrophysiologists and the heart rhythm APP team to provide specialized care for patients with heart rhythm disorders. This role focuses on managing both pre- and post-procedure patient care, antiarrhythmic drug monitoring, and cardiovascular-focused obesity management. Additionally, there will be numerous opportunities aligned with the Bold.Forward.Unbound strategies in the coming years, fostering growth and professional development within the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in the Heart Rhythm Service, focusing on pre-procedure evaluations and post-procedure follow-up.
- Monitor and manage patients on antiarrhythmic medications, ensuring safety, efficacy, and patient understanding of therapy.
- Opportunity to support obesity management initiatives through individualized patient education and evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other APPs, to optimize patient outcomes.
- Act as a resource and expert consultant for patients and staff regarding arrhythmia management and treatment options.
QualificationsMaster's or DNP prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as an FNP or ANP.
Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota board of Medical practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
Cardiology experience preferred, but not required.
