OUR URGENT CARE HOSPITAL VISION:
A unique and modern solution to bridge the veterinary service gap between general practice and overnight/emergency care.
Our medical vision is to provide pet care for non-life-threatening medical issues that do not require emergency treatment or overnight care, as well as offer same-day appointments if pets are unable to be seen at a general practice for time-sensitive needs such as health certificates, vaccines for boarding, etc. Appointments, drop-offs, and walk-ins are equally and enthusiastically welcomed by our highly trained team.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Education:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited college of veterinary medicine
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
- Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) is required
- Washington State Veterinary Board License in good standing
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licensure or DEA licensure eligible
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Three or more years of experience as a veterinarian
- Knowledge of state, federal, and local laws and regulations regarding veterinary medicine
- Knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures
- Knowledge of medical equipment and anesthesia procedures
- Proficiency with a variety of computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Demonstrated ability to leverage interpersonal skills and technical knowledge to bring people and ideas together to perform effectively
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills with a client-oriented approach
- Effective decision-making skills to determine the optimal method for treating a variety of medical ailments and disorders
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to convey complex medical details to individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge
- Demonstrated collaboration through leadership, including providing active training, education, and mentorship with the hospital team to provide high-quality medical care
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of clients and employees in a professional, compassionate, and tactful manner
- Ability to develop effective working relationships to gain trust and establish credibility with clients and staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including managing multiple priorities
- Demonstrated professional level of confidentiality in handling information using ethical discretion
- Ability to proactively identify issues and formulate solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
