Schedule Details: Eligible for a $20,000 Sign on Bonus! This position will work 2nd shift and 3rd shift hours- covering both the Mukwonago and Oconomowoc Laboratory Hospital campuses. Shifts may be 2:00-10:30 pm, 2:30-11:00pm, 3:00-11:30pm, or 10:00pm - 6:30am. The position is designed to back-fill for the two hospital labs to provide additional support and coverage to the on-site teams during times of PTO, training, projects, and FMLA. This position includes approximately every third weekend rotation and up to 2 Holidays/year. Start times may vary in the future based on business needs. This position will be a generalist, trained for competency in all laboratory departments which includes Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry/Urinalysis, Specimen Processing, Arterial Blood Gas instruments, and Blood Bank. Training will occur during first shift hours for approximately 3 months prior to moving to second/third shift.

ProHealth Care offers a system-wide laboratory operation with core hospital labs at Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial as well as two clinic-based laboratory sites in Waukesha County. The laboratory performs over 8 million tests annually.
Our Lab services operate state of the art facilities and include clinical testing in the areas of Histology, Cytology, Hematology, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunoassay, Microbiology, Transfusion service, EIA, and Molecular Biology. ProHealth Care offers a vibrant outreach program, providing laboratory testing to numerous specialty hospitals, physician offices, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Our Pathologists and PhDs work closely with lab employees to monitor quality, as well as identify, access, and implement new technology. The Laboratory has certification and accreditation through the College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).
What You Will Do:
Medical Technologists, or Medical Laboratory Scientists, perform moderate to high complexity testing within the Clinical Laboratory. Prepares samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation. Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluates, correlates, and interprets test results.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Associates degree in Medical Lab Tech
- Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Medical Lab Tech (MLT) ASCP certification
- Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months, or
- Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months
- Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
