Manages information technology projects from planning through implementation based on LabCorp's SLC. Creates project plans, identifies and secures resources and implements projects. Manages project milestones, budget and resources and is accountable for successful project delivery. Coordinates activities and ensures effective communication to stakeholders and within project team. Tracks project schedules, reports on progress and takes corrective action as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages computer-oriented projects; entire project lifecycle from sizing and scoping project to implementation, closure and handoff to support, ensuring successful project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Builds project plans, including necessary deliverable and schedules.
- Ensures project plans meet strategic objectives of the business.
- Ensures project plan compliance and that documentation meets regulatory requirements.
- Facilitates project scoping, ensuring that issues are raised, necessary input is obtained and project work is outlined.
- Manages project dependencies to ensure schedule execution.
- Undertakes risk management and appropriate mitigation strategies for projects.
- Functions as Scrum Master for one or more workstreams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments for team, and managing dependencies with other teams.
- Leads meetings and facilitates effective communications to drive decisions and action items.
- Manages project budgets, ensuring expenses stay within established guidelines.
- Provides regular reports and project status updates to management, stakeholders and others.
- Utilizes appropriate metrics to help understand health of team and deliverables for the projects are met.
Specific Work Experience Requirement:
- Computer-oriented programs, multi-year projects consisting of multiple large sub-projects.
- Programs include ERP projects involving multiple regions/lines of business and integrations with other systems.
- Develops and maintains project documentation to specifically address project scope, deliverables, project plans, cost tracking, resource usage, issue tracking and status reports for multiple or large, complex projects.
- Scrum or Agile/Lean Frameworks
- Project management, leading multi-disciplined and cross-functional teams.
- Setting and managing customer expectations.
- Using portfolio and project management tools – Clarity, Jira, and Microsoft Project
- Setup Scrum/Kanban boards in JIRA and manage sprints and backlog through the tool.
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies, such as Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demos, and Retrospectives.
- Removing blockers and impediments for scrum teams, such as infrastructure, environmental, or dependencies on other teams.
- Producing Scrum and Sprint metrics utilizing appropriate tools, such as sprint burndowns, velocity charts, epic progress, and release burndowns.
- Planning and managing release plans based on scoped work, estimates of team, and progression and completion of work.
- Identifying, managing and accounting for risks/mitigations and dependencies in creation and execution of plans to deliver projects.
- Presenting and explaining technical information to establish rapport, persuade others and gain understanding.
- Producing regular reports and project status updates to management and stakeholders.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of project management experience.
- Scrum Master Certification.
- PMP Certification and Product Owner Certification are a plus.
Pay Range: $30 - $40 hourly
