Location: Suburb north of downtown Atlanta
Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience) + potential bonus
Job Overview:
We're looking for a talented Senior Accounting Analyst to join a growing insurance company. This role combines strong accounting skills with leadership abilities to support this company's continued success. You'll oversee financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounting practices, ensuring adherence to GAAP.
- Lead the conversion to accrual accounting.
- Analyze financial data to inform decision-making.
- Partner with internal teams for accurate financial reporting.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors.
- Guide and support the accounting staff.
- Delegate tasks for efficient departmental workflow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience with leadership potential.
- Strong analytical skills and accounting software proficiency (GAAP preferred).
- Experience with financial data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, manages priorities, and adapts to change.
- Insurance experience (particularly MGA) a plus.
