The Assistant Regional Merchant (Footwear & Team Sports) supports the team with delivery of regional merchandising strategies across multiple gender/consumer categories within the Footwear and Team Sports categories of business. The Assistant Merchant supports with the creation of a regional line plan to meet consumer and regional needs. This role is a part of a Merchandising team that possesses deep awareness and intuition of the consumer, regional marketplace dynamics and uses this knowledge to develop long-term product strategies to manage seasonal product line architecture.
Your Impact
- Provide data entry support with updating style-color direction every season.
- Operate and maintain Merchandising systems (Trasix, etc.) for the business.
- Support Ecommerce Merchandising team with the development of channel line plans to cater to consumer and regional requirements, ensuring alignment with financial targets and regional growth prospects.
- Analyze, validate and input slot/style information in channel line plan tools.
- Support weekly selling and business recapping across ecomm channel merchandising team.
- Support Merchandising team with content creation for key Go-to-Market gates.
- Support post-mortem analyses to track market shifts and evaluate performance across various metrics, enabling agile responses to business trends.
- Provide support to the Merchandising team with day-to-day tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience or Masters degree without experience or typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.
- Previous experience in Merchandising or Product Management, paired with a passion for identifying trends and better understanding the consumer. DTC experience preferred.
- Ability to translate regional insights and market information into actionable and informed recommendations.
- Strong analytical skills and financial acumen; demonstrated by the ability to analyze and make recommendations that are consistent with the brand.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to indirectly influence a variety of job functions without having full ownership.
Workplace Location
- Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.
- Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation
$58,507.00 - $80,446.30 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
