Responsibilities
- Communicate and collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams in the management of insurance compliance programs, including sub-contractor and tenant required certificates of insurance
- Responsible for tracking defined metrics against the company’s goals related to third-party certificate management systems and provide regular reporting related to these metrics
- Manage updates to and work within internal database systems related to insurance compliance, contractor tiering, and confirmation of executed contracts for subcontractors on all projects
- Weekly reporting to project teams related to insurance compliance
- Assist the accounting department in resolving insurance-related error reports
- Assist Risk Management and Legal team in developing and managing risk management, legal, and insurance compliance projects
- Communicate with insurance brokers for company’s insurance updates and coverage needs
- Assist Risk Manager with insurance renewal and application process for large property and casualty, management liability, and professional liability insurance programs
- Assist Safety Manager with training and loss control initiatives
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas of concentration from an accredited College or University:
- Insurance and Risk Management
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Real Estate
- Other related degrees supported by insurance, risk management, real estate development, or construction-oriented course work or experience
Safety Hazard of the Job
Normal safety hazards associated with office work, and with occasional observational visits to construction sites.
Physical Demands
The moderate physical effort required to sit, bend, stoop, lift, walk, and climb. Maximum unassisted lift is 70 lbs. Average lift is less than 10 lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard and monitor. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone. May require some travel by car/truck.
Moderate to extreme outdoor conditions. Above average noise levels. Protective equipment is required. Average inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required. Ambient temperature is between 68F and 76F.
